Richard Holcomb is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and M&A advisor with over 40 years of experience building, scaling, and selling technology companies. Based in North Carolina’s Research Triangle, Richard has founded and led multiple successful ventures, including Q+E Software, HAHT Commerce, and StrikeIron, which were acquired by public companies for a combined value exceeding $125 million. His expertise spans startup formation, corporate development, venture capital, strategic partnerships, and international sales. Richard has served on the boards of over 25 companies across software, life sciences, and data infrastructure, advising through IPOs, acquisitions, and exits. He co-founded the North Carolina Venture Capital Fund and was a longtime Venture Partner with Aurora Funds. Today, he continues to guide entrepreneurs through growth and exit strategies while investing in high-impact, early-stage ventures. As the Chief Growth Officer for MethodSense, Richard understands the criticality of FDA compliance, product commercialization, operational scale along with a focus on early stage investment and carefully managed M&A exits.
